Can a head go anywhere without the neck?

Have you all heard this analogy, yet?  If the husband is the head of the house, then the wife is  the neck.  I think that's great and daunting all at the same time.  We know, as Christian wives, that we are equal to our husbands, but we are called  to submit to their authority.  (There can only be one head:)  So, where does that put us....the next thing  in line is the neck.  Think about this.  Think about the responsibility of the neck.  Where it turns....the head turns.  And, really, the head can't go or look anywhere without the neck!  So, we can directly  point our husbands in the direction they go!  That kind of scares me, because so many times I am looking the wrong way!  So, ladies this week, I am challenging all of us to point our husbands to Christ.  Remember, when you are looking judging at someone...he will be, too.  When you are looking at life like it is too hard, he will be, too.  We have an awesome responsibility in our homes and in the lives of our families.  We set the tone for our homes!  What kind of tone are you setting?  All we have to do is ask God  to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus...He will do the rest!

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
